Delhi has a major role to play in contributing to the national passion and obsession with kite flying that people all over the country share. Indeed, it is the opportunity for people to flash their vibrant flying machines and watch the spectacle as they race against the wind high above, surpassing all others. In our enjoyment we forget that kite flying become lethal and hazardous because of the mental coated string.
To discourage the craze for kite flying amongst the students, Sulabh Public School took an initiative and organized a seminar in the school premiseswherein students were told about the hazards of flying kites. It poses great threat to people, animals and birds around. Students were highly attentive during the session and took active participation.
They were also told that kite flying can interrupt electricity supply after touching high tension lines and overhead metro electric lines. Hence, it can also be fatal for the person flying kites.
Indeed, the seminar ended by sensitizing students and by making them discourage the practice of kite flying on such a massive scale.
