In 2000, Sulabh Public School became a member of the Eco Club under the Ministry of Environment, NCT Delhi. Since then, our school has actively participated in various programs organized by the Ministry. Our young members have pledged to avoid using non-biodegradable items, such as plastic bags, polythene, and shiny wrapping paper.
The club’s activities include Plantation Drives, Best Out of Waste competitions, promotion of paper bags, and campaigns such as “Say No to Plastics” and “Say No to Crackers,” among many others.
During the Holi festival, natural colors were prepared and distributed to students to promote a more environmentally friendly celebration. Related posters were displayed at the Eco Club meeting at Bal Bhawan, New Delhi. Additionally, students from Classes VIII to X participated in a nature trail at Asola Wildlife Sanctuary, Tughlakabad, New Delhi.
On August 18th, 2010, five students from Class VIII attended a training program at Sri Ram School, Vasant Vihar, where they learned about critical contemporary issues like global warming and mercury pollution.
