The Class Monitor Election at Sulabh Public School on May 13, 2024, wasn’t just a fun event—it was a chance for students to learn about democracy and why voting matters. In a democracy, elections are really important. They let people share their opinions, choose leaders, and be part of making decisions. The school election was like a small version of a big election.
Students got to do everything involved in voting, like applying to be a candidate, learning about the voting process, and understanding how votes are counted. They even got to use fake voting machines and ballot boxes. They learned that every vote is important and that democracy only works when everyone takes part.
Using their school ID cards to vote, students got to experience what it’s like to be part of a real election. They realized that voting is not just a right—it’s also a responsibility. By electing a class monitor, they learned that voting helps make things fair and equal in a community. They understood that voting is something they should take seriously and do to help their school and society.
