Rakhi also called as Raksha Bandhan symbolises the true love and bond between brothers and sisters. Rakhi has deep significance and it has been used for the protection of the person who ties it on his hand from mythological times. This sacred thread is used by Lords Indra, Queen Karnavati, Kunti, Rabindranath Tagore and other famous personalities to create harmony in the world. In case of Lords and demons war time, Rakhi was used by Indrani.
This year, Rakhi festival was in calendars on 3rd August. During all previous years, Rakhi making competition and playing of short plays signifying its importance were organized in school campus during morning assemblies. This year 2020, Covid 19 has changed the celebration pattern. However, our Art Teacher along with other teachers co-ordinated with students through online mode like Zoom Meet and Whatsapp Videos and inspired the students to participate in virtual Rakhi Making competition. The students enthusiastically participated this activity. This activity was scheduled for two days on 29th July and 30th July for Junior and Senior Wings respectively. Students showcased their talent by sending the virtual pictures of their beautiful and creative hand-made Rakhi using craft material and waste material. The school authorities appreciated every active participant and motivated other children to take part in future activities.
