Diwali Festival in Sulabh Public School
Diwali, the festival of lights is celebrated every year with great zeal and enthusiasm. It signifies good over evil and hope over despair.
The festival was celebrated with great zest in the premises of Sulabh Public School. In order to spread the message of celebrating an eco-friendly Diwali and cracker free Diwali, a drawing competition was organized in which the students from class VI to X came forward with many good concepts. Through their creativity they expressed that crackers are of no use, it is just an environmental abuse. They felt their responsibility to save nature in this way. Next in the line was a debate wherein students of class IX Pushkar Jha, Tushar Singh, Vartika and Annu Singh actively came up with the varied ideas and opinions. In this way students imbibed the message that it was the time to think out of boundaries and a fun filled Diwali can also be celebrated without crackers. Besides all these activities a rally was also marched on 3rd November with the students of our school spreading the message all along. It was a nice way to make the surroundings aware of ill effects of burning crackers. Students gave voice to the new concept with the slogans ‘Mitti ke diye jalao, pradushan door bhagao’, ‘Patake lena band karo, pradushan ko kam karo’.
The entire Sulabh Public School pledged together for celebrating cracker free Diwali and promised to fill their homes with prayers and lights.
