Gandhi Jayanti is a national festival celebrated in India to mark the birth anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.
Indeed an intensive one week program was scheduled in the school premises to mark this significant day. The one week program enfolded many activities, plays, songs etc.
On 23rd September the school echoed all faith prayer. Students sang bhajans and beautifully explained the meaning of the hymns.
On 24th September a fancy dress competition was organised and a dance performance on vaishnav jan te tene kahiye was performed by the students. A play was also staged on the life incidents of the father of the nation by the students of class 7th.
On 25th a cleanliness drive was marched which talked about the importance of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation. A rally was taken out by the students in the local area.
On 26th September a speech was elocuated by students of class 9th and 10th. Children threw light on the inspiration they gained from the father of the nation.
On 27th September slogan writing, poetry and essays were displayed by the students that had beautiful Gandhi teachings.
On 28th September a drawing and painting competition was held where the canvas portrayed the beautiful and endeavoring journey of Mahatma Gandhi.
On 30th September a documentary was screened in the school premises talking about the Life of Gandhi. Students were taken to the Sulabh Toilet Museum that promotes Gandhi’s vision of sanitation.
On 1st October a quiz competition was organised where general questions about the Life of Gandhi were asked to the students and the winners were felicitated by the principal of the school. This was the day where the hardwork of the students was recognised and their charts, poems, essays were displayed all over in the schools premises.
